Volunteers of Angels Service LLC who have completed 20 hours of qualifying volunteer service may request a grant. Per 20 hours of qualifying service a volunteer may request up to $300 in grants, grant purposes may be split among projects.
Approval is based on available funds and grant requests being received; grant requests are not guaranteed. If you seek a grant and that is the reason you are volunteering I am very happy we have this special program that appeals to you. However, please, BEFORE, you start volunteering, submit your request for a grant so that you may receive approval of your request and the funds can be set aside for you to use when you complete your volunteer experience.
Examples of volunteer work with Angels Service LLC:
-Providing 20 hours of respite care in a private home setting
-Providing 20 hours of community connection (group or single client)
-Providing 20 hours of massage therapy
There are three types of grants.
1: One Day Away Grants: This grant may be use to sponsor any activity for an individual, family, or community event that benefits those impacted by disabilities. This is a grant aimed at supporting quality of life. Use your imagination and your heart.
2: Small Business Big Dreams Grants: This grant is based on funds being available. If a volunteer anticipates requesting this scholarship it is advised to make your intentions clear so that funding can reviewed and set aside prior to the start of volunteering.
Small Business Big Dream Grant Guidelines:
Funding requests need to be the most functional and beneficial option. Funding is not provided directly to the volunteer but rather directly to the funding purpose: e.g. registration for a class or business.
Funding purpose examples:
-Small business classes (such as how to file taxes as a small business)
-Education relevant to career (such as a class on how to teach someone with autism)
-Business insurance (such as liability and HIPAA insurance)
-Registration of business (such as a limited liability company)
-Other, upon request with a review (such as a creative endeavor like hosting a paint class)
3. Special Review Grants: These grants are smaller and have less funding in general than volunteer based grants. However, any current agent may have a grant request reviewed. Depending on the situation details a grant may be... well, granted.
